Africa Is Really Blessed

I've never seen Africa as a blessed continent, not in any way due to the poverty level in the region. Development is at its lowest in most parts of the continent though civilization started in the same continent. According to conventional Egyptian chronology, Egypt civilization started as far back as 3150BC during the regime of the first pharaoh until they fell to the Roman Empire. Africa is blessed with abundant mineral and human resources though they lack the will power, technical-know-how and integrity to make judicious use of these. So this region have always been seen as no-good. But recent happenings triggered this write up - Japan earthquake and tsunami that has a death toll of thousands. According to Wikipedia's list of natural disasters, Africa has the least number of natural disasters among the continent of the world with Asia topping the list. These disasters have claimed millions of lives in the last century. Hurricanes, tsunamis, cyclones, tornadoes, heat waves, major storms, land slides, floods, nuclear and chemical accidents, earthquakes, typhoons, oil spills to mention but a few. Year after year these disasters claim millions of lives outside the shores of this continent. Maybe God in his infinite mercy decided to compensate Africa's under-development by shielding these away from its shores. they don't live in fear of what might happen next as in other parts of the world. this continent might be under-developed but it is indeed the most blessed continent in the world.
